Leafy Creek Farm LLC is a small family-owned and operated farm in Central Texas that began operations in 2013. The farm raises certified organic, certified 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef cattle for direct sale to consumers. Beef is USDA-inspected, dry-aged 14 to 30 days before packaging to improve flavor and tenderness, and is available for purchase through the farm's online store. The farm also produces certified organic hay, including WW B-Dahl Old World Bluestem rolls and Coastal hay, available in large net-wrapped rolls and small square bales. Leafy Creek Farm holds USDA Organic certification for crops since 2015 and for livestock born after mid-March 2018, currently certified by OCIA International. The farm has also been certified by the Real Organic Project since June 2020. Beef cattle are Certified 100% Grass-fed by the American Grassfed Association (effective 2019), a standard that includes rigorous animal welfare requirements. The farm does not use growth hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, GMO plants, grain, or synthetic sources of nitrogen such as urea. Animals treated with antibiotics for illness are not sold to customers. Beef is processed at a USDA-inspected certified organic processing plant.
