Biodynamic farm and farm store raising pastured beef, pork, goat, eggs, and vegetables on 1,000 protected Texas acres.
High Hope Ranch is a 1,000-acre working ranch and farm operating under biodynamic standards on land permanently held by Living Lands Trust. The ranch raises Wagyu Angus cattle for beef, Kune Kune pigs for pork, Boer and Nigerian Dwarf goats for meat and milk, and chickens for eggs. A half-acre garden produces cut flowers, medicinal herbs, and vegetables sold through a local co-op and an on-site Farm Store. The ranch also produces value-added goods including salsa, marinara, pickles, tallow lotion, and facial serum. Products are available at the Farm Store on-site and at select local retail partners in Glen Rose. Learn more on their About Page.
High Hope Ranch conducts all agriculture under biodynamic standards, which include planting and tending to animals in alignment with moon and planetary cycles, applying biodynamic preparations to the land and garden, and producing biodynamic compost. The ranch is pursuing Demeter Certification for its edible and herbal products. Livestock rotational grazes native pastures. Boer and Nigerian Dwarf goats are also used for invasive species management on the land. Cucumbers are grown from organic seeds using biodynamic practices.
