Kootenay Natural Meats

Kootenay Natural Meats is a family farm operated by Dale and Wendy McNamar, established in 2009 as a subsidiary of Goat River Farms Ltd. The farm raises Angus-based beef, Heritage Tamworth pork, Cornish Cross chickens, Bronze Orlopp Heritage Turkeys, Dorper and Katahdin lamb, rabbit, and eggs. Meat is available as single cuts or freezer packs, including side and whole options, and can be purchased through farmers' markets in Creston, Rossland, and Nelson, as well as through an online store. Dale manages farming and animal husbandry full-time, while Wendy oversees marketing, customer service, and farmers' market sales. The farm grows and harvests its own feed and manages its own pastures on owned and long-term leased land.
