JC Acre is a small, family-run farm in Canyon, TX focused on regenerative farming and responsible land stewardship. Eggs are available through a weekly or biweekly subscription program called Yolk Folks, with additional products available to add on. Poultry is processed on-site at the farm. Beyond meat and eggs, JC Acre also produces pet treats made from the same prairie-raised animals and offers handcrafted leather goods. The farm operates with stated values of integrity, transparency, and stewardship of both animals and land. Learn more on their About Page.
JC Acre uses rotational grazing across its prairies for all of its animals, moving them regularly to give access to fresh grass, insects, and soil nutrients. Hens are raised outdoors on pasture and supplemented with an all-natural, non-GMO layer feed. Pastured poultry is raised without corn or soy and fed a diet the farm describes as emphasizing natural ingredients; birds are processed on-site. Pigs are pastured and raised with minimal feed additives, with pork processed locally in Canyon, TX. Pet treats are made from the same prairie-raised animals without chemicals or additives, as part of a near zero-waste whole-animal approach. The farm describes its overarching goal as restoring soil health, conserving water, and supporting local ecosystems through regenerative practices.
