Jared's Real Food is a regenerative, holistic, no-till farm established in 2011. It grows nutrient-dense heirloom and specialty vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Produce is sold through a weekly farm stand drive-thru and a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) box program, with CSA delivery available across East County San Diego. Alongside its own produce, the farm stand carries goods from local partners, including pasture-raised chicken, organic free-range eggs, local raw honey, naturally leavened sourdough, and mushrooms. Jared's Real Food operates as a no-till farm with a focus on soil health as the foundation of its growing strategy. The farm never uses toxic pesticides or fungicides on its crops. It is compost-based, making compost on site and also amending the land with locally produced compost, which eliminates the need for synthetic fertilizers. The farm grows heirloom and specialty varieties alongside trees, food crops, herbs, flowers, and wildlife habitat, with the aim of building a healthy ecosystem.
