Overview

Independent natural food market with a full-service butcher, fresh-made tortillas, organic produce, and a deli and bakery.

Windmill Farms is an independently owned natural food market in the Del Cerro neighborhood of San Diego, operating since 2003. The store traces its roots to 1943, when Henry and Jessie Boney opened a fruit stand on El Cajon Boulevard, a family legacy that also produced Henry's Marketplace and Sprouts Farmers Market. Today it runs as a single-location grocery with a full-service butcher counter, an in-house deli and bakery, a nutrition and supplements department, and fresh tortillas made on-site using the original Pancho Villa press and recipe. It also stocks specialty items including raw milk, local honey, and bulk grains and nuts. A loyalty rewards program and online ordering are available. Learn more on their About Page.
