Ivan's Meadow

Ivan's Meadow is a seed and plant production farm run by Quin Shakra in Ojai, California. The farm focuses on Southern California native plants and hardy mint-family perennials, with an emphasis on species that tolerate the local wildlife pressures Shakra describes as "squirrel tolerant agriculture." Current crops include multiple sage species (Cleveland, Black, Hummingbird, Purple, and White), Mexican Elderberry, California Mugwort, Catnip, Catmint, Wild Dagga, Western Vervain, Matilija Poppy, Gaillardia, and Jerusalem Sage. Ivan's Meadow produces seed for The Plant Good Seed Company and sells plants through its own Etsy shop. Shakra is also a published writer and seed-saving educator, with work appearing in Edible Ojai, Ojai Magazine, and Ventana Magazine.
