Indian Ridge Farm is a small, diversified family farm operated by Barclay and Tony Daranyi on a high-altitude property in Norwood, Colorado. The farm produces pastured poultry, eggs, pork, and lamb, alongside organic vegetables grown in a 1.5-acre garden managed by farmer Anne LeFevre. As high-altitude growers, Indian Ridge Farm works within a short growing season running from early April to early October. Produce from the garden goes to the Norwood Fresh Food Hub and regional retail outlets. The farm also keeps goats, maintains bee colonies, and participates in an intensive rotational grazing demonstration program. It hosts Quivira apprenticeships and accepts volunteers. Indian Ridge Farm operates under a regenerative agriculture mission, working with natural systems to improve soils, grasslands, hydrology, and ecosystem health, while sequestering carbon. Livestock are raised on pasture as part of what the farm calls a whole-farm organism: hogs eat scraps from the organic vegetable garden and move to pasture as they mature, with their feed supplemented by organic, Colorado-grown grains. Beef cattle are rotated through irrigated pastures using intensive rotational grazing. The farm grows vegetables using organic methods and maintains bee colonies on the property. Wildlife habitat is actively enhanced, with ponds, wetlands, and woodlands supporting a broad range of species alongside the farm operation.
