JZ Meats is a fourth-generation ranching family based in Olathe, Colorado. The ranch was founded by Joe and Margie and has been operated across the generations for decades, with the current generation carrying on the ranch-to-table approach first explored by the family. JZ Meats raises grass-fed and grass-finished beef on the high mountain pastures of Western Colorado, with grain-finished beef available on request. Beef is sold in bulk shares ranging from an eighth to a whole animal, as well as in classic bundles. Pickup and delivery options are both available. JZ Meats raises its cattle on nutrient-rich high mountain pastures of Western Colorado using what it describes as regenerative practices. The beef is grass-fed and grass-finished; grain-finished is available on request. The ranch uses no added hormones and avoids unnecessary antibiotics, administering them only in rare situations where an animal's health and wellbeing are at risk. Beef is processed at a local, USDA-inspected facility.
