Hoven Farms is a multigenerational family farm in Clearwater County, central Alberta, founded in 1908 and now operated by Tim and Lorianne Hoven along with their children and Tim's parents. The farm raises cattle and sells organic, 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef year-round, available as whole, half, split-half, or ground beef. Chicken, pork, and eggs are produced on a seasonal basis. Hoven Farms sells directly to customers across Alberta, with farm pickup and delivery options available. Hoven Farms applies regenerative farming methods with the goal of building up and rejuvenating its soils, which it sees as the foundation for raising healthy animals. All beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. The farm uses no GMOs, no added hormones, no animal by-products in feed, and no chemical herbicides, pesticides, or insecticides on its land. On antibiotics: if an animal becomes sick it is treated, but any animal that receives antibiotics is removed from the organic beef program.
