Hop N Hen Farm LLC is a certified organic farm established in 2014 in Henniker, New Hampshire. It produces a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, including tomatoes, butternut squash, asparagus, raspberries, peaches, and pears. The farm also raises pasture-raised eggs from a flock of Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red, and Barred Rock hens. Broiler chickens and turkeys are raised on organic pasture and processed on the farm. Products are available for direct pickup at the farm, at the Henniker Community Market, and at the Concord Farmers' Market.
Hop N Hen Farm is certified organic by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) for its vegetables, fruits, eggs, and poultry, and also holds certification with the Real Organic Project. It is a member of the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Hampshire (NOFA-NH). Laying hens are moved to outdoor field rotation in season using a mobile chick-shaw, with electric poultry netting for predator protection. Broiler chickens are brooded in a dedicated coop, then moved onto organic pasture in large, covered, well-ventilated pens. Turkeys are raised in mobile tractors that move daily to fresh grass. All broiler chickens and turkeys are processed on the farm. Vegetables are grown in both open fields and high tunnels, extending the growing season into early spring and late fall.
