100% grass-fed beef raised from birth on a three-generation family farm in Indiana.
Hoosier Grassfed Beef is a family-owned farm in Attica, Indiana that has been raising 100% grass-fed beef since 2000. The business was founded by Dan DeSutter and Rich Hollinger, and is now operated by Dan's three sons, Dylan, Damon, and Dalton. The farm maintains its own cow/calf herd, meaning every animal sold is raised from birth on the farm under the family's management. Customers can purchase beef as individual cuts, bundle boxes, or in bulk quantities of a quarter, half, or whole animal. The farm raises its cattle on certified organic pastures. Learn more on their About Page.
Hoosier Grassfed Beef raises cattle on certified organic pastures and guarantees that no animal has received grain or hormones. The herd is rotationally grazed throughout the year; during the growing season, animals are moved as often as twice a day to provide continuous access to fresh pasture. In winter months, cattle continue to rotate on stockpiled forages and are supplemented with organic, ensiled hay grown on the farm. Maintaining a cow/calf herd allows the farm to account for each animal's diet and management from birth onward. The farm describes its grazing approach as integral to improving the land alongside delivering grass-fed beef to customers.
