Farm-raised meats, local groceries, a bakery, and a coffee shop, all under one roof on Oxford's town square.
The Market by Midwest Prime Farms is a locally owned grocer, bakery, and coffee shop founded in October 2023 by farmers Troy and Heather Leak. The store stocks pasture-raised Angus beef and Berkshire pork raised on the Leaks' own family farm, along with free-range chicken, farm-fresh eggs, cream-top milk, raw milk cheese, and seasonal produce. The in-house bakery turns out a rotating selection of breads, cinnamon rolls, pies, scones, cheesecake, and cake pops. Sips on the Square, the coffee shop inside the store, brews Indiana-roasted beans with house-made syrups and farm-fresh dairy. The Market also carries pantry staples, local raw honey and maple syrup, non-toxic skincare, household goods, and handmade gifts from other small producers. Catering is available for meetings and events. Learn more on their About Page.
The Market by Midwest Prime Farms sources its Angus beef and Berkshire pork directly from Troy and Heather Leak's family farm, where the animals are raised on pasture. Free-range chicken is also stocked in the freezers alongside house-rendered tallow and lard. Refrigerated offerings include cream-top milk, raw milk cheese, organic yogurt, and farm-fresh eggs. The coffee shop uses Indiana-roasted coffee beans and makes its syrups in-house from scratch. Many catering ingredients are sourced directly from the family farm and local producers. The business works to connect small-scale local farmers and makers with shoppers, stocking goods such as local raw honey, local maple syrup, and Amish candy alongside its own farm products.
