WiseWood Farm is a small, family-operated farm in Boone County, run by Joel and Holly Woody along with their three sons. The farm grows seasonal vegetables, fruits, and herbs, and raises free-range chickens for eggs. Customers can purchase through a weekly or biweekly CSA subscription, visit the farm directly, or find WiseWood at area farmers markets. The farm also produces homemade jams and its own bottled honey, harvested from hives located adjacent to the growing areas. Additional seasonal offerings include a u-pick flower patch and a pumpkin patch.
WiseWood Farm grows its produce using organic practices and states that all produce is chemical-free. Jams are made from pesticide-free fruits and berries grown on the farm. Eggs come from free-range chickens, and the farm states no antibiotics or hormones are ever used. Honey is bottled on-site from hives kept directly next to the farm's growing areas.
