Harvest Barn Marketplace

Harvest Barn Marketplace raises purebred Limousin cattle on its own family farm about ten minutes from the store. The cattle graze on pasture year-round and receive hay in winter, with a small amount of corn added for energy during cold months. Calves are with their mothers for approximately six months before being gradually weaned onto a grain feed suited to their nutritional stage, with continued access to pasture, hay, and water throughout. The family does not use growth hormones or antibiotics in raising its beef or pork. Once market-ready, cattle are processed at a family-owned, USDA-inspected locker in northern Missouri. The beef sticks are made from family recipes using the farm's own beef. The hand-poured candles sold in the store are made on-site using a soy blend.
