Pasture-raised beef, pork, and chicken from a family farm established in 2020.
Griffith Family Farm is a family-owned and operated farm in Northern Sumner County, Kansas, founded by Devin Griffith in 2020. Griffith started the farm to carry on a multigenerational farming tradition, inspired by his grandfather's cattle operation that had been in the family since Kansas statehood. The farm raises pastured chickens, heritage breed pigs, and grass-fed and finished beef cattle. Products are available through an online store and include individual cuts as well as bundle boxes for chicken, pork, and mixed meat. Griffith started the operation with pastured chickens using a Joel Salatin-style chicken tractor, then expanded into beef and pork. Learn more on their About Page.
Griffith Family Farm raises all its animals on pasture, where they access grass, fresh air, and sunshine. Chickens are kept in a mobile coop that is moved to a fresh patch of ground each day, giving birds access to grass, bugs, and worms while keeping them off their own manure. Heritage breed pigs are moved to a new paddock approximately every four weeks to forage and root for bugs, worms, grasses, nuts, and roots. Beef cattle are grass-fed and grass-finished, raised entirely on pasture grasses and forages, and rotationally grazed to allow pastures to rest between grazing cycles. The farm uses no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers on its pastures, and raises animals without hormones, added chemicals, or prophylactic antibiotics. The farm describes its approach as regenerative, with a focus on building soil health and supporting biodiversity.
