100% grass-fed beef and lamb from a Kansas farm using holistic, regenerative grazing practices.
Graze The Prairie is a Kansas farm that has been raising 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef and grass-fed lamb since 2013. The farm is run by Keith Long and Linda Pechin-Long, whose combined experience spans more than 30 years of ranching. Products include ground beef, roasts, steaks, marrow bones, soup bones, bundle packages, eggs, and jerky. Graze The Prairie sells at seasonal Saturday farmers' markets in Wichita and offers weekly home delivery to Wichita and surrounding areas. An online shop allows customers to order for market pickup or scheduled delivery. The farm also provides consulting services in holistic land management and agricultural business planning. Graze The Prairie's animals are raised on pasture year-round and are never fed grain or concentrates. During winter months, the farm supplements with mineral, clean water, high-quality stored forages (hay), and organic alfalfa pellets. Animals are raised without antibiotics or added growth hormones, and pastures are never treated with chemical fertilizers. The farm practices Holistic Management, a planned grazing approach that mimics the historical movement patterns of animals on the prairie. Keith Long has practiced Holistic Management for over 20 years across multiple ranches, climates, and eco-regions. Linda Pechin-Long is a Holistic Management International Professional Certified Educator.
