Family-owned vegetable farm with a CSA, farm store, and garden center in northwest Connecticut.
Gresczyk Farms is a family-owned and operated farm run by the Gresczyk family: founders Bruce and Bernadette, their sons Bruce Jr. and Henry, and long-tenured staff. The farm grows 130 acres of vegetables and 1.5 acres of berries, and raises 600 laying hens. Products are available through a year-round farm store, a seasonal CSA program, and several Connecticut farmers markets. The CSA, now in its fourteenth year, runs for 18 weeks and offers full and partial share sizes, with flexible pickup days across multiple locations. The farm also operates a seasonal garden center offering bedding plants, hanging baskets, containers, and perennials. Learn more on their About Page.
Gresczyk Farms grows its vegetables and berries using Integrated Pest Management (IPM), an approach that combines comprehensive knowledge of pest life cycles with available control methods to manage pest damage by the most economical means and with the least possible hazard to people and the environment. The farm works closely with UConn's Cooperative Extension System in connection with its IPM practices. CSA shares feature home-grown produce, farm-grown berries, locally sourced fruit grown to the farm's standards, cage-free eggs, and farm-raised pork. The CSA includes a weekly handout with recipes and produce information prepared by head grower Bruce Jr.
