Seasonal cut flowers, herbs, and vegetables grown on a no-till family farm.
Glorious Daylily Farm is a family-run operation on 60 acres in Heltonville, Indiana, growing seasonal cut flowers alongside herbs and vegetables. The farm is operated by Karen Saint Rain and her family, who handle everything from seeding to delivery. Fresh-cut flowers are available from April through October at the Bloomington Farmers Market at the Showers Building in downtown Bloomington, as well as by pickup at the farm. The farm also supplies seasonal mixed flower bouquets for weddings, parties, and special events, with at least one week of advance notice requested. Learn more on their About Page.
Glorious Daylily Farm grows in no-till permanent beds, with two-thirds of its growing space devoted to perennials. Herbicides, insecticides, and chemical fertilizers are not part of the operation; instead, the farm relies on crop rotation, companion planting, and mulching. No-spray, no-toxins permaculture techniques are used throughout. Soil health is a stated priority. Cut flowers are harvested early in the morning, kept cool with ice, and packaged in water to preserve freshness from field to customer.
