No-till market garden growing seasonal vegetables and value-added products year-round.
Firelight Farm is a no-till market garden in Searcy, Arkansas, founded in 2022 by Cory Babb and Lee Waters. Both came from careers in the restaurant industry: Cory cooked professionally for 15 years and holds a degree in Sustainable Food Systems from Montana State University, while Lee managed the bakery at a farm-to-table cafe. The farm grows vegetables year-round and sells at farmers markets, through restaurants, at small grocers, and via online food hubs. Beyond fresh produce, Firelight Farm offers value-added products including harissa spiced pickled carrots, tomato jam, and roasted poblano salsa. The farm also runs a CSA farm share program for local pickup.
Firelight Farm is Certified Naturally Grown and uses natural and organic practices throughout its growing operation. The farm grows on permanent raised beds without tractors or heavy machinery, keeping agriculture at a human scale. Year-round production is made possible through unheated caterpillar high tunnels. The team uses intercropping and transplanting to maximize cropping space and maintain healthy, root-active soil. No-till methods are central to the farm's approach.
