Field To Fork Farm

Field To Fork Farm applies French Intensive Biodynamic farming methods across all aspects of its operation, from seeding to harvest, including adherence to the biodynamic calendar and annual application of biodynamic preparations. Ninety percent of all inputs and soil amendments are created on-farm, and the farm describes its practice as a closed-loop system focused on building its own fertility. Vegetable crops are grown in permanent no-till and low-till raised beds with intensive plant spacing and companion planting throughout. The farm never uses synthetic petroleum-based fertilizers, herbicides, or fungicides; all plant-control inputs are plant-, animal-, or mineral-based. Perennial flowering hedgerows, fruit trees, and diverse flowering cover crops are integrated across the property, and 20% of farm land is set aside as undisturbed wildlife habitat. Flowers are also rotated within vegetable crops to benefit soil health and support pollinators.
