Permaculture farm offering pasture-raised meats, seasonal veggie CSA shares, fresh eggs, and farm events.
Fiat Farm is a family-run permaculture farm that began in March 2016. Run by Nic and Meghann Baker, the farm raises pastured poultry, pork, and beef, and grows seasonal vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Fiat Farm offers a weekly CSA veggie share program, running for 15 weeks each growing season, as well as farm-fresh eggs. Beyond produce and meat, the farm hosts on-farm events including farm-to-table suppers. It also runs the Nourish the Hungry Initiative, through which contributions provide pastured meat portions to vulnerable members of the local population. Learn more on their About Page.
Fiat Farm uses permaculture as the guiding framework for how it designs and runs its agricultural systems. The permaculture ethics it follows are earth care, people care, and fair share, with the aim of improving the environment while producing food. Animals are raised on open pasture, grazing freely. Vegetables and fruit are cultivated using what the farm describes as natural and responsible farming practices. The CSA veggie share product page describes the produce as seasonal and organic.
