Ferme Rêveuse is a family-owned farm established in 1993 on 330 acres in Curran, Ontario, run by Kornel and Olga Schneider. The farm raises pasture-based chicken, eggs, grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and pastured rabbit, and produces Wild Ferment Craft Kombucha alongside a range of prepared items including sausages, bone broth, liver pâté, and tallow-based skincare. Products are sold at farmers markets in Montreal, Ottawa, and Cumberland, through home delivery to the Ottawa-Gatineau area, and through select retail and restaurant accounts. Ferme Rêveuse raises all animals without synthetic hormones or antibiotics. Pasture-raised chickens are housed in custom-built mobile coops moved to fresh pasture daily, with full outdoor access, and are fed a 100% plant-based, conventional grain mix to supplement what they forage. Egg-laying hens follow the same pasture rotation during the growing season, moving to spacious heated barns in winter. Cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, eating only grass in season and hay plus silage in winter, and are strip-grazed by moving daily to fresh sections of pasture. Pigs are raised fully outdoors, with access to a covered barn, and are fed conventional pig feed supplemented with farm scraps, cooked eggs, hay, straw, and silage. Pastured rabbits are moved to fresh pasture twice daily. The farm states that its pasture management practices help build nutrient-rich soil and support soil health.
