Earthmother Farm is a small-scale market garden, food forest, and arts centre in Annan, Ontario, situated adjacent to the Niagara Escarpment. The farm operates a half-acre market garden established in 2022, specialising in leafy greens, root vegetables, fruits, and medicinal herbs, alongside a two-acre permaculture orchard established in 2012 that produces apples, grapes, aronia berries, seabuckthorn berries, pears, and strawberries. It is an inter-generational family farm. Earthmother Farm sells to local farmers markets, restaurants, and CSA members across Owen Sound and Grey County, and its orchard opens for u-pick berries and fruit by appointment during summer. Earthmother Farm grows its produce organically on a small scale and holds Certified Naturally Grown certification, a grass-roots alternative to the Certified Organic label. The farm uses bio-intensive methods to build soil health, and its stated goal is to maintain a light environmental footprint while encouraging re-generation of the land. The permaculture orchard combines fruit trees with an understory of herbs and flowers. Ecological, small-scale farming and gardening practices guide all growing on the property.
