Family-run Colorado bison ranch selling 100% grass-fed and finished bison meat, from individual cuts to half and whole animals.
Eagles Wing Ranch is a family-run bison operation in North Park, Colorado, situated at 8,200 feet near Routt National Forest. The ranch was established in 2007 when Bob Beauprez, a third-generation Colorado dairy farmer, and his wife Claudia purchased the historic Chedsey Ranch, originally homesteaded in 1882. Bob and his son Jim operate the ranch together. Eagles Wing Ranch sells bison in individual cuts, including steaks, ground bison, roasts, brats and sausages, and delicacies, as well as half and whole animals available by reservation for the fall harvest. The ranch also offers bison pet treats. Learn more on their About Page.
Eagles Wing Ranch raises its bison on 100% grass-fed and grass-finished diets, with no grain finishing at any stage. The animals are never given antibiotics or growth hormones. They roam open pastures, grazing on native North Park grass hay and drinking mountain water that flows directly from Routt National Forest. The ranch harvests once per year in the fall, with bison typically reaching 2 to 2½ years of age at harvest. Half and whole bison are processed at a USDA-certified facility. Eagles Wing Ranch describes its approach as part of a broader effort to rebuild the bison population in the United States.
