Coyote Creek Feed Mill & Farm is a family-owned operation founded in 1997 by Jeremiah Cunningham with a focus on improving soil, growing natural pasture grasses, and raising livestock. In 2007, it opened the first commercial organic feed mill in the state of Texas, purchasing locally grown organic grains and selling organic feeds to farmers across the Southern United States. Today the farm produces USDA Certified Organic pasture-raised eggs, pasture-raised chicken, pork, and lamb, grass-fed beef, and a line of prepared foods. It also serves as a raw milk pick-up location for the Jersey Barnyard. Coyote Creek Feed Mill & Farm holds USDA Certified Organic status for both its animal feeds and its pasture-raised eggs. The feed mill sources locally grown organic grains and formulates feeds that are free of antibiotics, hormones, and recycled animal byproducts; feeds are made fresh to order and meet the USDA national organic standards. Incoming grain is inspected and tested before use. The farm raises its livestock under a commitment to sustainable and organic farming and ranching practices, paired with the humane treatment of all animals. The feed mill also supplies organic feeds to other small and medium-sized family farms, extending its organic and pasture-based practices beyond its own property.
