Overview

Urban farm growing vegetables, fruit, and duck eggs in the heart of the San Fernando Valley

Cottonwood Urban Farm is an urban farm in Panorama City founded in 2011 by Elliott Kuhn on a formerly vacant plot of land. Over more than a decade of cultivation, the farm has developed a diverse ecology of vegetables, herbs, perennial plants, and a mixed orchard producing stone fruit, bananas, mulberries, and pomegranates across much of the year. The farm also raises ducks and sells eggs on-site. Beyond growing food, Cottonwood offers field trips, hands-on workshops, farm rentals, educational programs for all ages, and seasonal orchard pruning and consultation services. It is also a hub for on-site partners Black Thumb Farm and Behind the Beet, each running their own programming from the grounds. Learn more on their About Page.
