Fifth-generation American Wagyu and Charolais beef farm selling bundles, bulk shares, and tallow.
Colorado Frontier Premium Beef is a fifth-generation farming and ranching operation that has raised cattle on the Colorado high plains since 1993. The family has spent more than 30 years building a Charolais herd that has earned awards at the National Western Stock Show and multiple fed beef contests. The operation has since added an American Wagyu influence to its program, producing beef it sells in curated bundles, bulk shares ranging from an eighth to a whole animal, and tallow products. Orders ship across the United States, and local pickup is also available from two locations. Learn more on their About Page.
Colorado Frontier Premium Beef runs two herds under a closed cattle system, one calving in spring and one in late summer. All calves are born and raised on open grass pastures; after the growing season ends they move onto harvested crop fields, and at six to seven months of age they are weaned and continue on open farmland. At approximately one year of age, cattle are transitioned to a roughage and grain diet for 180 to 200 days. The operation uses regenerative farming practices and raises its cattle pasture-fed. All animals are raised hormone-free, antibiotic-free, and without dyes. The business describes its product as USDA-approved and 100% American-grown, with a single-sourced supply chain free from outside exposure or added preservatives.
