Clyde Farm is a small family farm in Farmington, New Hampshire, operating since 2018. Run by Jimi and Kristen, the farm raises broiler chickens, Thanksgiving turkeys, 100% grass-fed beef, and forest-raised pork, and grows a wide range of vegetables and cut flowers. Products are sold through a year-round on-farm store open every Saturday, a summer Wednesday pickup during CSA season, and several seasonal CSA share options covering poultry, pork, vegetables, and flowers. The farm also offers bulk chicken orders, farm store credit accounts, and accepts SNAP/EBT benefits, with vegetable purchases matched dollar for dollar.
Clyde Farm raises broiler chickens and turkeys on pasture in mobile chicken tractors moved daily. Day-old chicks come from a Pennsylvania hatchery and eat only certified organic grain from Morrison's Feed in Vermont. All poultry is processed on-farm. Beef cattle are bred and raised on the farm's pasture, organically managed for over six years, and fed hay from neighboring organic farms in winter. The beef is 100% grass-fed and finished, with no synthetic wormers, antibiotics, or added hormones. Pigs are raised in the woods on certified organic grain. Sausage seasonings are certified organic, and the bacon has no added nitrates, real maple syrup, and real wood smoke. Crops and flowers are grown organically from untreated or organic seed, with no toxic chemical inputs. Compost is made from livestock bedding, and cattle and chickens graze future crop fields to build soil fertility. Flowers and vegetables are inter-planted in alternating beds to attract pollinators and beneficial insects.
