Pasture-raised chicken, turkey, pork, lamb, and maple syrup from a 300-year-old New Hampshire farm.
Old Orchard Farm is a family farm in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire with roots tracing back to a colonial-era land grant from the King of England. Gray and Kitty Cornwell purchased the property in 1991 and founded the farm as it operates today, making them just the eighth family to work the land. The farm raises sheep, pigs, turkeys, and chickens, and also produces maple syrup on-site. Products are available to order online, with delivery and pick-up options, and turkeys are offered fresh for Thanksgiving. Horse boarding is an additional service the farm provides.
Old Orchard Farm raises its chickens on pasture, moving them to fresh grass daily with access to open air and sunshine. Turkeys range free on the farm's fields and pastures and are fed grain free of antibiotics. The farm raises Katahdin sheep, a hair breed, on a natural diet of grass, legumes, and hay supplemented by grain when needed, without hormones or routine antibiotics. Pigs are heritage Berkshire-Tamworth crosses raised in wooded and pastured areas on non-GMO grain supplemented by nuts, apples, grass, and roots, also without hormones or routine antibiotics. All lamb, mutton, and pork is USDA inspected, vacuum packed, and frozen. Maple syrup is produced in a post-and-beam sugar house built from timber cut on the property, using sap tapped from both the farm's own trees and those of neighboring properties.
