CCOF certified organic U-pick apple orchard with an on-site Apple Barn, fresh juice, and seasonal produce
Clearview Orchards is a family-run U-pick apple orchard in Watsonville, California, owned and operated by Mel and Carol LaRussa since the late 1990s. The orchard grows CCOF certified organic apples across several varieties, including Fuji, Gala, Honeycrisp, EverCrisp, and Mutsu. All trees are dwarf-size, planted with families in mind, set among terraced grass rows. After picking, visitors can stop at the Apple Barn to weigh their apples and purchase additional products. Those include fresh-pressed apple juice, apple turnovers baked from organic Fuji apples, apple butter, apple popsicles, honey, pumpkins, squash, lavender goods, and locally grown organic brussels sprouts. The orchard opens to the public each fall on weekends. Learn more on their About Page.
Clearview Orchards holds CCOF certified organic certification, which covers its apples and its locally grown brussels sprouts. Honey sold at the Apple Barn is produced by beehives kept in the orchard during the off season, where bees forage on lavender and apple blossoms. Apple turnovers are baked each weekend using the orchard's own organic Fuji apples, and fresh-pressed juice is made from a variety of organic apples picked directly from the trees. Lavender products, including sachets, soap, and lavender mist, are sourced from the lavender garden directly outside the Apple Barn.
