Bola Pizza

Handmade frozen and fresh pizza with 72-hour cold-fermented dough, sold at Austin-area grocers.

Bola Pizza was founded by Jamie and Christian Bowers, who grew a love of pizza parties into a catering business and then into a line of frozen pizzas. The business has been making pizzas since 2012. Bola starts every pizza with a 72-hour cold-fermented dough and organic crushed tomato sauce. Pizzas are sold at H-E-B, Central Market, and a wide range of independent Austin grocery stores, as well as locations in Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston. The lineup includes distinctive options, such as a Texana pizza with house-made chorizo.

Bola uses King Arthur Flour, which is non-GMO and bromate-free. Cheeses are rBST-free and made with vegetable rennet, sourced from suppliers with documented humane animal treatment programs. Tomato sauce is made from organic Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes. Meats are humanely raised and sourced from Niman Ranch. The dough follows a three-day cold fermentation recipe.
