Central Market is a gourmet grocery store and a division of H-E-B, first opened in Austin, Texas in 1994. Inspired by famous European markets, our stores follow a serpentine layout designed to take shoppers through an immersive food experience. We carry hundreds of cheeses, thousands of wines, and an extensive produce selection, alongside specialty meats, prepared foods made in-house, and seafood flown in from around the world. Our in-house bakers produce bread and pastries on site. We also offer cooking classes, wine classes, catering, and live music at our locations. Central Market has been named Outstanding Specialty Food Retailer by Specialty Food Magazine and the National Association for Specialty Food Trade.

We fly in sustainably sourced shellfish and whole fresh fish from around the world for our seafood counter. Central Market carries a line of exclusive products called Central Market Organics, which includes organic and all-natural items ranging from milk and eggs to pasta sauce and cookie dough.
