Blackbird Farm

Blackbird Farm is a family-run aquaponic farm in Buena Vista, Georgia, operating since 2020. Its primary growing system is a deep water culture greenhouse powered by Koi fish, which enables year-round production of fresh greens and herbs. The farm's signature offering is living lettuce harvested with the roots still attached, the day before transport. Field production expands the offerings into seasonal vegetables when conditions allow. Blackbird Farm supplies both individual customers and restaurants, working directly with chefs and buyers on small-batch, direct relationships. The farm also grows seasonal flowers and offers bouquets, flower CSAs, and DIY flower buckets for weddings and events.
