A 90-acre working orchard offering pick-your-own fruit, a seasonal CSA, and fresh-pressed cider.
Autumn Hills Orchard is a working orchard on 90 acres in Groton, Massachusetts, in operation since the mid-1930s. It grows more than 55 varieties of apples alongside peaches, nectarines, pears, grapes, apricots, plums, pluots, pumpkins, gourds, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Guests can pick their own fruit in season, and the orchard also runs a fall CSA program delivering weekly fruit shares, capped at 140 members. A summer CSA program runs separately earlier in the season. In recent years the orchard has planted thousands of new trees, expanding its lineup of popular modern varieties, historic heirlooms, and cider apples. The farm also produces cider and donates more than 80 tons of apples each year to area food programs. Learn more on their About Page.
Autumn Hills Orchard grows all of its fruit using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques, with the stated goal of producing high-quality fruit in a sustainable manner with the least possible impact on the land and the wildlife living in and around the orchard. CSA shares are described as grown under these same IPM best practices. CSA members also receive a 15% discount on pick-your-own raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries throughout the growing season.
