Overview

Certified Organic, no-till vegetable farm with an emphasis on Japanese varieties.

Assawaga Farm is a Certified Organic operation growing a diverse range of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruits, with a particular emphasis on Japanese varieties. Founded in 2016 on raw land in the quiet corner of Connecticut, the farm was built from the ground up by farmers Yoko Takemura and Alex Carpenter, who added a barn, greenhouse, and well before turning a former hayfield into productive growing ground. The one-acre farm is entirely hand-powered and no-till. Produce is available through a seasonal on-farm stand and at a farmers market in the Coolidge Corner neighborhood of Brookline, Massachusetts. The farm also accepts SNAP at its farmstand. Learn more on their About Page.
