Small family farm growing produce and raising livestock through regenerative and permaculture practices in Central Illinois.
Yemm Farm is a small family farm founded in 2017 by Neil and Becky Yemm. The Yemms began their farming journey as interns on an organic farm, studying a range of agricultural methods and experts before establishing their own operation. The farm focuses on local, organic, and chemical-free food alongside regenerative farming practices. Yemm Farm's products are sold through Good Soil Food Hub, the direct-to-consumer food hub the Yemms built to connect their farm and other regional producers with households, restaurants, schools, and other institutions in Central Illinois. Yemm Farm centers its growing and land-stewardship approach on regenerative farming, permaculture, and food forests. The farm incorporates methods such as the Three Sisters companion-planting approach and deep-mulch gardening. Neil and Becky Yemm have a stated commitment to local, organic, and chemical-free food production, reflecting the principles they developed through farm internships and ongoing study of regenerative agriculture.
