USDA Certified Organic specialty crop farm and agricultural consulting operation in Florida.
Worden Farm produces USDA-certified organic specialty crops on 125 acres in Florida and provides agricultural advisory services. Founded in 2003 by Chris Worden, Ph.D. and Eva Worden, Ph.D., the farm focuses on building productive, efficient, and sustainable agricultural systems. Its signature product is floral-grade organic sunflowers, distributed wholesale through select retail partners. Worden Farm has produced hundreds of specialty crop varieties adapted to demanding subtropical conditions. It has collaborated with the United States Department of Agriculture, the University of Florida IFAS, and the Organic Farming Research Foundation. Consulting services cover the planning, development, improvement, and management of organic agriculture projects. Learn more on their About Page.
All crops at Worden Farm are certified organic by Quality Certification Services (QCS), an independent, USDA-authorized agency. The farm has developed its own horticultural methods and operational systems suited to subtropical and tropical growing conditions. Organic sunflowers are planted in rotation with other crops, attracting honeybees, ladybugs, and other beneficial insects to support pollination, natural pest management, and biodiversity across the farm. Consulting services extend these organic production principles to other properties, with strategic advisory applied to organic certification, farm development, and property evaluation.
