An 85-acre working farm with a farm-to-table café, country store, and event barn in Fort Myers.
Buckingham Farms is a family-owned, 85-acre working farm that operates a farm-to-table café, a country store, and a full-service event venue on the same property. The land traces its history to a hog farm in the 1950s, later an orange grove, before the current family purchased it in 2009 and began growing produce for a roadside stand. A demonstration kitchen followed, and eventually the stand grew into a full café serving breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is led by Executive Chef Jason Little, a Johnson & Wales graduate with more than 30 years of culinary experience who has been with the farm since 2013. The Rustic Barn, which hosted its first wedding in 2013, serves as one of Southwest Florida's event venues for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations. Buckingham Farms grows produce on-site using hydroponic systems and raises a herd of Dexter cattle alongside more than 200 egg-laying chickens on the property. The restaurant uses eggs from those on-farm chickens and incorporates produce grown on the farm's own land. The menu rotates seasonally, drawing on locally sourced ingredients where available. The café operates an open kitchen concept, designed to let guests see the farm-to-table process directly. The farm spans nearly 85 acres and describes its approach as responsible farming, keeping production and dining on the same grounds.
