Winter Ridge Natural Foods Market is the largest natural foods store in the two northernmost counties of Idaho. Founder Gregg Prummer opened it in 1997 after his son was diagnosed with Celiac disease, with a goal of serving a wide range of dietary needs. The store carries organic and local produce, local free-range meat and eggs, a broad bulk section of organic spices, herbs, nuts, and dried fruits, and a diverse selection of supplements and homeopathic remedies. An in-house deli and bakery produce made-from-scratch food, including laminated pastries such as croissants. The store also stocks a fresh floral department, environmentally friendly household cleaning products, and a selection of local, organic, craft, and imported beer, wine, and ciders.
