Family-run regenerative farm raising grass-finished beef, pasture-grown chicken, pasture-raised pork, and rabbit.
Indigo Ridge Farms is a family-owned and operated regenerative farm run by husband-and-wife team Cale and Kelly Cosby, alongside their five sons. Founded in 2020, the farm sits in a quiet valley of the southern Appalachian Mountains in northeast Alabama, on land that has been partly in Kelly's family for decades. Indigo Ridge raises pasture-grown chicken, pasture-raised pork, grass-finished beef, naturally raised rabbit, and farmstead staples. Animals are raised in smaller, carefully managed seasonal batches and harvested at peak times, with late spring, summer, and fall being the most abundant seasons. Orders can be placed online for farm pickup or purchased at local farmers markets. Learn more on their About Page.
Indigo Ridge Farms operates on regenerative principles, avoiding all synthetic fertilizers, chemicals, and pesticides. The farm uses rotational and adaptive grazing with cattle and raises a diverse mix of livestock to build a balanced, resilient ecosystem. Its beef, pork, and chicken are certified by the American Grassfed Association, meeting that organization's rigorous standards for true grass-fed production. All meats are free from steroids, antibiotics, and hormones. The farm is also a member of the American Poultry Producer Association and Sweet Grown Alabama, and its practices align with the nutrient-density principles of the Weston A. Price Association.
