A four-acre family vegetable farm with a self-serve farm stand, seasonal CSA, and pick-your-own flower field.
Well Fed Farmstead is a four-acre family farm in northwest Fort Collins, owned and operated by head farmer Ryan Ericson. The farm grows a wide range of seasonal vegetables and flowers for sale through several channels: a self-serve on-farm stand stocked with up to 30 varieties of produce and other local goods, a bi-weekly winter CSA program, a monthly veggie subscription bag, and stands at local farmers markets. Produce is also supplied to restaurant partners. A pick-your-own flower field operates on a self-serve, no-reservation basis during the growing season, and the farm hosts flower workshops. Well Fed Farmstead grows its vegetables without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. Ryan Ericson's approach centers on soil health and sustainability across all aspects of the operation. A significant portion of produce is grown in greenhouses to extend the season, and the farm draws water from natural precipitation, wells, and ditches. The winter CSA boxes include over 50 varieties of vegetables, greens, fruits, and herbs; a small number of items, such as apples, pears, honey, and certain potatoes and squash, are sourced from other local farms and vendors to fill seasonal gaps. The farm also prioritizes fair wages for its farm workers.
