Kansas-grown pastured pork, beef, chicken, eggs, and smoked dog treats raised without antibiotics or hormones.
Ulrich Family Farm raises pasture-raised meat and eggs in Kansas, selling direct to local customers. Its product line includes Berkshire pork, grass-fed and finished Jersey beef, pastured chicken, free-range eggs, and smoked dog treats. Pigs are born on the farm and spend their lives rotating through 20 acres of pasture and woods. Whole and half hogs, individual cuts, roaster hogs, and live hogs for home butchering are all available. The farm also offers bi-weekly drop-off deliveries to Olathe, Overland Park, and Kansas City. Learn more on their About Page.
All animals rotate through 20 acres of pasture and woods, and the farm uses managed rotational grazing to improve land and maximize nutrition from available forages. No antibiotics, hormones, or animal by-products are used in raising meat animals, though any animal requiring treatment is removed from the butcher group rather than left to suffer. Pigs are fed a custom mix of local non-GMO grains and milk from fellow Kansas farmers, with no soy in the feed; seasonal additions include apples, pumpkins, alfalfa, and garden produce. Sows farrow in open pasture or small shelters without farrowing crates, and piglets are handled from birth. Hogs are processed at Paradise Locker Meats in Trimble, MO, a family-owned facility the farm describes as certified humane and animal welfare approved.
