Multi-generational farm and food hub offering vegetables, fruits, grains, livestock, pastured eggs, and pick-your-own blueberries.
Tuckaway Farm is a multi-generational family farm tucked along the Oyster River in Lee, New Hampshire, on more than 250 acres. Chuck and Laurel Cox began building the farm in 1983, and Dorn and Sarah Cox now continue the operation. The farm grows a wide range of crops: vegetables such as tomatoes, greens, squash, and peppers; perennials including blueberries, asparagus, and rhubarb; and heirloom grains such as corn, oats, and rye. It also raises lamb and pastured eggs. Visitors can pick their own blueberries in season, shop the on-site farm store, or join a CSA. Tuckaway was named NOFA-NH Leading Organic Farmers of the Year in 2024.
Tuckaway Farm uses no/low-till practices to support soil and climate health. The farm describes its approach as regenerative: relationship-based, climate resilient and adaptive, and research and education oriented. It employs draft horse power as part of its field management. The farm is engaged in open-source research and development through the FarmHack collaborative agriculture network. It supplies vegetables, fruits, grains, and livestock products to restaurants, markets, and schools throughout the Seacoast region, and offers educational programming for groups ranging from kindergarten classes to university students.
