Overview
CSA produce box subscription direct from a four-generation family farm on the Central Coast
Talley Farms Box is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program run by the Talley family, who have been farming in the Arroyo Grande Valley since 1948. The program is now managed by the third and fourth generations of the family alongside Talley Farms and Talley Vineyards. Subscribers choose between a family-size Original Box or a smaller Junior Box, each filled with a seasonal mix of fruits and vegetables. Boxes can be picked up at over 80 locations from Paso Robles to Goleta to Bakersfield to Mammoth Lakes, or delivered to homes and offices across the Central Coast and the Western United States. Subscribers can customize box contents, adjust delivery frequency, and add local non-perishable items such as honey, olive oil, pasta, and coffee. Talley Farms Box also accepts SNAP payments. Learn more on their About Page.
The Talley Farms Box program grows over 40 different items on approximately 50 acres of certified organic soil, including raspberries, blackberries, shishito peppers, and heirloom tomatoes. All seed used by the farm is non-GMO for both conventional and organic crops. For produce it does not grow itself, the program purchases from other local California farms, prioritizing organic sourcing when available, with items such as blueberries, See Canyon apples, peaches, strawberries, kiwi, and oranges. Farming methods are designed to support healthy soil, wise water management, reduced pollution, and biodiversity. After harvest, all produce is pre-cooled using vacuum, hydro, forced-air, or icing methods before packing, and boxes are delivered in refrigerated trucks the same day they are packed.
