Family apiary producing honey and beeswax, with over 4,000 hives working across the Pacific Northwest and California.
Steele Apiaries is a family-run apiary in Eagle, Idaho, founded by Shaun and Kris Steele, who have been raising bees for nearly 30 years. The operation runs over 4,000 hives that travel across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and California. Products include raw honey in a range of container sizes and beeswax sold by the pound. Steele Apiaries honey is stocked at select Treasure Valley retail locations, including the Boise Co-op and Mrs. Beesley's Healthy Foods. The business also operates a seasonal farmers market booth and participates in various markets and bazaars throughout the valley. Honey bee rental is available for farmers seeking pollination services. Learn more on their About Page.
Steele Apiaries honey is minimally processed to preserve its natural properties. It is lightly filtered to remove bee parts and larger materials. In colder months, the honey is gently heated only enough to flow through the filtration system. The honey is not pasteurized. The hives forage across Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, and California, pollinating crops while producing honey and beeswax.
