Second-generation family farm offering raw cow and goat milk, eggs, beef, pork, and goat milk soap.
Southspoon Farms is a family-owned and operated farm in Yantis, Texas, run across two generations. The farm has been milking cows for over three decades and is also home to one of the largest goat dairies in the region, with 60-80 milking does and more than 150 goats total. Its A2/A2 tested Jersey cows produce raw cow milk sold by the gallon, while raw goat milk is sold by the half gallon. The farm store also carries fresh cream, chocolate milk made from a family recipe, free-range eggs, pasture-based beef, farm-raised pork, and soap made with the farm's own goat milk. Southspoon Farms additionally delivers farm-fresh milk to cheese makers across Texas using two state-inspected tankers. Learn more on their About Page.
Southspoon Farms' Jersey cows are pasture-based, with a diet that is approximately 90 percent grass-fed; they receive supplemental grain during milking time. The goats are allowed to browse and are fed alfalfa hay, also receiving supplemental grain at milking time. The farm's cow milk comes from A2/A2 tested Jerseys, and the milk is sold raw and unpasteurized. Milk delivered in bulk to cheese makers is transported in two state-inspected tankers.
