Family-owned USDA Certified Organic farm offering CSA vegetable shares, pasture-raised poultry, beef, and honey.
Sol Gardens is a family-owned, 20-acre USDA Certified Organic farm established in 2012. It grows over 100 varieties of seasonal vegetables across 3.5 acres, using a heated propagation greenhouse, three standard high tunnels, and a hybrid high/low tunnel. Members can join a full-season CSA program, receiving a weekly box of certified organic vegetables with Saturday farm pickup. Beyond vegetables, Sol Gardens raises Freedom Ranger broiler chickens and a flock of laying hens on its pastures, farrows American Guinea Hogs, and raises Belted Galloway beef cattle. Sol Gardens holds USDA Certified Organic certification for its vegetable production. The farm raises approximately 150 Freedom Ranger broiler chickens annually on pasture, maintains a flock of 40 to 50 laying hens, and both raises and farrows American Guinea Hogs. It calves between two and six Belted Galloway cattle per year. Sol Gardens grows and harvests its own hay to feed its animals through the winter months.
