Two-generation family farm offering CSA produce shares, cut flowers, and a seasonal farmstand in Illinois.
Big Rock Organics at Lamb of God Farm is a two-generation family farm that has provided freshly picked produce and meat products to the Chicagoland area for twenty years. The farm runs a 16-week seasonal CSA offering full, half, and every-other-week share options, available by home delivery to the western suburbs or pick-up at Esther's Place in Big Rock. CSA boxes are picked the same day members receive them and include 6 to 12 kinds of produce plus seasonal flower bouquets. A self-serve farmstand operates on-site from June through September, and the farm can also be found at Oswego Country Market. Big Rock Organics also grows cut flowers on a quarter-acre flower field, with u-pick access and bouquets available for markets, CSA boxes, and special events. Farm tours are offered for groups of any size. Learn more on their About Page.
Big Rock Organics states that it uses sustainable, organic farming methods in every aspect of its production. CSA boxes are harvested the same day they are delivered or picked up. The quarter-acre flower farm supplies bouquets for CSA shares, the farmstand, and local markets, with flowers started from seed on the farm.
