Certified organic, pasture-raised beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and eggs from a multi-generation Iowa family farm.
Seven W Farm is a multi-generation family farm in Paullina, Iowa, raising pasture-raised beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and eggs on certified organic land. The farm's roots in raising pigs on pasture go back to the 1960s. A shift toward organic practices began in 2005, and by 2016 the farm had achieved full certified organic status. Four families work together across the operation, which includes an organic dairy, beef marketing, a pig and chicken enterprise, and an organic row crop operation. Meats and eggs are available for online ordering with delivery to select towns in Northwest Iowa. Learn more on their About Page.
Seven W Farm's land is certified organic and free of synthetic chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides. All livestock are raised hormone-free and antibiotic-free. Beef cattle graze and roam rotational pastures throughout the year. Pork is raised on pasture in the traditional style the farm has practiced since the 1960s. Lambs are born on pasture and finished on pasture; the farm raises hair sheep, which do not require shearing. Free-range chickens and turkeys are raised on pasture where they forage on bugs and clover. Eggs are produced by free-range hens with access to fresh air, grass, and exercise. While the beef and lamb are raised on certified organic land, the farm notes those specific animals are not individually certified organic.
